Charmy Marras (they/them)*

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Dance, with a focus in Technology, from The Ohio State University and my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. My traineeship was at BAART Clinic, where I worked with people in recovery from addiction, and Counseling West, where I worked with adults, ages 24-50. I have worked in Crisis Services at The Trevor Project, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis, and with Brave Trails, as a camp counselor, therapist, and now Associate Mental Health Director, where I am building programming with a team to support LGBTQ+ youth year-round. I enjoy working with curious youth, adults, couples, and families, and believe that the work of connecting to Queer Spirit can be healing for anyone.

After spending 10 years as a professional creative in the fields of dance and drag arts, I found myself in the midst of change. At the time, I was facilitating workshops for adolescent youth on gender and identity and decided I wanted to use my experiences as a queer artist to support others. I decided to do this by becoming a licensed psychotherapist. I believe the work of therapy, in different forms, can bring one closer to knowing themselves and the ways in which we relate to others.
